  • Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) April 26, 2016 - Living Advantage, Inc. is excited to announce the Second Annual "Intro to Robo" - a carnival based around the introduction to robotics for Foster Youth. The event will be held at the famous USC Galen Center, home of Nickelodeon "Kid's Choice Awards" and Microsoft's XBOX Video Game Awards. Join us Friday, May 6th, 2016, as we reach out to at-risk and foster youth in our underserved communities.

"Intro to Robo" is a fun, exciting, and interesting introduction to the fields of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (S.T.E.A.M.). Our goal is to not only introduce these fields and concepts, but demonstrate how they can be applied in schools, careers, and beyond. Children of all ages, family and friends are welcome to enjoy a hands-on experience in the exciting world of robotics.

We are also excited to announce that U.S. Representative Karen Bass will be one of our featured guests attending "Intro to Robo." Congresswoman Bass has been a longtime supporter of Living Advantage and the foster youth we serve. Her dedication to representing underserved youth is an inspiration to Living Advantage, and we look forward to hearing her speak about how she's addressing the struggles that our youth face.

Special thanks to our sponsor, USC Civic Engagement, and their Executive Director, Carolina Castillo Ph. D., for allowing us to hold this event at the fabulous USC Galen Center.
