Littler Mendelson, P.C. (Littler), the world's largest employment and labor law firm representing management, has appointed Denise M. Visconti as office managing shareholder (OMS) of the firm's San Diego office. Visconti will take the reins from Jeremy Roth, who served as OMS of the office for a decade and will assume the role of Littler's co-managing director and co-president alongside Thomas Bender of the firm's Philadelphia office, effective January 2013.
"Since joining Littler eight years ago, Denise has continuously demonstrated an excellent legal mind and a natural capacity to develop outstanding relationships with both clients and attorneys throughout the firm. We are excited to have her take the helm of the San Diego office and continue to build on the momentum created during Jeremy's tenure," said Marko Mrkonich, president and managing director of Littler. "We thank Jeremy for successfully serving in this role and look forward to the contributions he will make as he takes on a firmwide management position."
"I am excited about my new role," added Visconti. "Our San Diego office has thrived under Jeremy's leadership, and I look forward to building on his efforts and further expanding the firm's prominence throughout the Southern California region."

She appears in state and federal courts and has handled arbitrations in various forums, including the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, the American Arbitration Association and JAMS. She is particularly familiar with the Employment Non-Discrimination Act and federal, state and local laws and regulations pertaining to gender identity and expression. She also counsels clients on gender transitions in the workplace, and various issues relating to domestic partnerships and same-sex couples. Visconti has given a number of presentations to human resources professionals, managers and employees on valuing diversity and creating and maintaining a diverse workplace.
