LINEON unveils Next-Generation Security Dashboard at Infosecurity 2013
LINEON, a specialist in information security, has developed an economical and comprehensive Next-Generation Security Dashboard that synthesizes META-KPIs addressing fully the needs of complex client entities in the field of IT security and compliance.

LINEON has developed a comprehensive and adaptive approach for the implementation, at a reduced cost, of its Next-Generation Security Dashboard across the client entity's systems and processes.
LINEON has focused its efforts on researching a solution that would be able to synthesise technical data and the input from security specialists on the staff of the client entity into META-KPIs: these META-KPIs provide the right elements in order to efficiently control and manage the overall security-related activities taking place within the client entity.

The information - business, organisational or technical - able to provide this vision is generally available in considerable amount, but does not natively allow the client entity to provide an accurate and synthesised vision of its overall security status which is easily understandable by every stakeholder, from technicians to the top management," explains Olivier Allaire, R&D Director of LINEON.
LINEON has built on its expertise and on the results of its R&D programme in order to design a cutting-edge Next-Generation Security Dashboard solution, which represents a fully packaged methodology and technological base providing client entities with an adaptive and comprehensive Security Business Intelligence approach.
LINEON designed its solution with a view to turning the client entity's security decisions into a straightforward process, integrating and facilitating communications with all the client entity's stakeholders in the process, thanks to the implementation of forecast-enabled Key Performance Indicators (or KPIs).
This mathematically based tool is able to model relationships between heterogeneous information inputs on the basis of their conditional probabilities, providing the client entity with KPI forecasts and incremental learning functionalities.
Thanks to LINEON's tool, customers can generate META-KPIs that illustrate and represent an evaluation of the company's level of exposure to risk, while also mapping out trends and forecasted evolutions in relation to the level of exposure to risk that may exist in the near future. Additionally, LINEON's innovative model takes into account the organisation's efficiency in relation to the management of security issues and processes, and in relation to compliance levels (including ISO27k, PCI-DSS, relevant regulations, etc.)
Data inputs that are used to achieve the aim outlined above include the results of technical checks (vulnerability scans, use of asset-management tools, processing of incident-management reports, etc.), combined with a range of functional inputs (from audit reports focusing on organisation and compliance to identity logs, access-management process reports, and data-and-assets sensitivity analyses, among others).
LINEON was set up by three experienced and qualified information-security professionals, who decided to put their 15 years' experience in the field to good use, so as to better serve the interests and needs of their customers.
LINEON's solutions are supported by the best of open-source tools, ensuring their straightforward deployment and integration into customers' information systems.
The major open-source technologies powering LINEON's solutions include SIEMS (OSSIM, OSSEC, etc.), Business Intelligence (Pentaho and Jaspersoft), Bayesian network management (Genie, Smile, etc.), and dashboard visualisation based on HTML5 (Dundas, among others).
