Lincoln receives the highest score for durability in annual industry study of three year old vehicles.
- Daytona Beach, FL (1888PressRelease) May 13, 2011 - Margate Lincoln, one of the leading Lincoln car dealers in Margate, FL, has announced that Lincoln has received the highest score for long-term durability among all vehicle brands in the annual J.D. Power and Associates' 2011 Vehicle Dependability Study (VDS). Also making a mark in the study was Lincoln MKZ, which was rated the second-highest performing model in long-term durability in the entire study.
In the J.D. Power Study, owners were asked about problems they have experienced in the past 12 months with their three-year-old vehicles. The respondents were asked to show problems with their vehicles in the past 12 months, choosing from a list of more than 200 issues in eight diverse categories.
Scott Tobin, director of Lincoln Product Development, was ecstatic with this achievement and said it was another great testament to Lincoln.
The J.D. Power Study also showed a strong correlation between vehicle reliability and purchase. Almost 63% of new vehicle buyers say that vehicle reliability/durability is one of the leading factors in choosing a new vehicle.
