Lighthorse Networks Announces Forensic Filesystem(tm) for Linux
Lighthorse Networks Acquires 'Forensic Filesystem(tm)' registered trademark from Blue Lotus, Inc. Announces product rebranding of "Cloudstream" to "Forensic Filesystem(tm)' Product Line.
- Albuquerque, NM (1888PressRelease) April 06, 2012 - Lighthorse Networks(tm), the leading provider of high performance Network Forensics and Network Security Streaming and Routing is announcing it has acquired the registered trademark 'Forensic Filesystem(tm)' from Blue Lotus, Inc. of Park City, Utah.
"On April 4, 2012, The United States Patent and Trademark Office granted the Trademark 'Cloudstream' to Lufthansa of Germany related to its in flight routing, video, data streaming, and networking services and suspended all other applications for this trademark filed by other applicants. This was based on the fact that Lufthansa had previously been using the trademark for some time in its business operations. Given the probability that our use of Cloudstream may cause confusion in the marketplace, and since we have an even better trademark already registered and granted by the USPTO which better describes our products and technology, we are rebranding our Cloudstream product line under the 'Forensic Filesystem(tm)' trademark."stated Jeff Merkey, CEO of Lighthorse Networks. "We have only acquired ownership of the trademark 'Forensic Filesystem(tm)' from Blue Lotus, Inc., we did not acquire any technology previously related to this mark."
Lighthorse Networks develops and sells network security and network forensics deep packet capture and routing solutions which work with SUSE, Red Hat, and Centos Linux Platforms over high performance switched storage fabrics including Infiniband, SAS, Fibre Channel, and iSCSI storage architectures and supports capture and stream to disk rates of over 20 Gb/s.
