LifeLine Ambulance Service selects WebMedicPro for paperless patient care reporting system; will use AmbuPad(TM) in-the-field reporting
WebMedicPro's AmbuPad™Is Selected By LifeLine Ambulance Service for in-the-field reporting.
- Boston, MA-NH (1888PressRelease) May 23, 2012 - LifeLine Ambulance Service today announced the selection of WebMedicPro for their paperless patient care reporting system.
LifeLine Ambulance Service has continually led the way in the industry with innovations, and today's announcement is another step in that direction - the implementation of a paperless means of reporting data from EMTs and Paramedics in the field.
WebMedicPro, an EMS software design and development firm located in Waltham, MA, is the developer of the AmbuPad™ ePCR, which will be put into service at LifeLine's 14 locations throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
The WebMedicPro AmbuPad™ weights less than two pounds and is a waster/dust proof pad with an easy-to-use interface ePCR that allows EMTs and Paramedics to digitally fill out the 'run report' when providing patient care and transport. It is an all-in-one turnkey patient care reporting system that operates both online and offline.
"Choosing the right ePCR solution for our operation has been a monumental task," said Brian J. Connor, president and CEO of LifeLine. "We transport over 250 patients daily so we are always looking for more efficient ways to better serve our patients and other healthcare partners. To that effect, a reliable, secure, and maintenance-free ePCR serves as a key element in streamlining our operation and improving efficiency".
According to Hadi Shavarini, CEO of WedMedicPro, "We consider this piece of equipment as a field instrument - no different than a Defibrillator, cardiac monitors, or any other tool EMTs use to track and monitor their patients' care."
WebMedicPro readily integrates with CAD systems, billing software, states' reporting and other required systems. " WebMedicPro's AmbuPad™ can seamlessly exchange data with our current CAD and billing systems. Our goal is to maximize the technology in an effort to streamline our operation from end-to-end," says Connor.
Shavarini added, "We are fortunate to be chosen by LifeLine, who has risen in six short years to be an industry leader in the medical transportation business both in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. They are perhaps the most technologically-advanced EMS Company we have seen to date." He continued, "We believe adopting mobile technology for an EMS operation should pose no IT overhead or require heavy investment. Unlike other software providers whose solutions require massive investment in hardware, IT infrastructure, and demand for on-going support and maintenance, WebMedicPro offers a turn-key field-ready instrument without any maintenance and associated costs.
"WebMedicPro is customizing the entire system to fit our current operation and workflow. We hope to deploy the AmbuPad™s and go live with the system within weeks. We consider WebMedicPro as a valuable part of our technology team and look forward to seeing the end result very soon" Connor said.
