Life is Nutz Sponsors Comedy Benefit for The TriROK Foundation Billy Gardell, Star of Mike and Molly to Headline Show October 23rd
Life is Nutz is dedicated to raising money for charities by selling Life is Nutz apparel, competing in triathlons, endurance sports and by sponsoring star-studded events. A portion of all proceeds will be donated through their Profit 4 Charity business model.
- Boston, MA-NH (1888PressRelease) October 08, 2010 - Life is Nutz, a company dedicated to raising money for several select charities by selling Life is Nutz apparel and accessories, today announced headliner, Billy Gardell, will appear in the first TriROK (Tri Racing for Our Kids) Foundation benefit, on October 23, 7pm, at the North Shore Music Theater in Beverly, MA.
In addition to selling apparel online, in retail stores, and at the triathlons and Ironman events, Life is Nutz founders have also raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for select charities by participating in multiple triathlons and endurance sports events. Additionally, money is raised by sponsoring various star-studded events. A portion of the proceeds will be donated through their Profit 4 Charity business model, coined as PFC. "We want to make a difference in the lives of kids, stated Life is Nutz, Bill Beers, chief executive officer. There are so many kids spending too much time sitting in front of the TV or computer. By encouraging a healthier way of life for them, hopefully, their entire family will get involved in a positive lifestyle change, continued Beers.
TriROK is dedicated to fighting childhood obesity by getting both the kids and their parents involved in family fitness by biking, swimming and running. TriROK's Executive Director, April Bowling, explains the Foundation's "whole family" approach this way. "The plain fact is that most kids do what their parents do. If the parents are sedentary, there is a much higher chance that their children will be as well. By participating alongside their children in our programs, moms and dads are setting a great example. They are showing their kids that you can get up off the couch, take on a challenge, face your fears, and wind up healthier and happier as a family."
Billy Gardell's new hit sitcom, "Mike and Molly", premiered September 20th on CBS. He is also known for his roles in several other TV shows. Gardell appeared in 12 episodes of "My Name is Earl", 26 episodes of "Yes, Dear", plus several other shows such as "Desperate Housewives", "Las Vegas", "The King of Queens", and many other TV shows too numerous to list. Gardell recently appeared on "The Late Show" with Craig Ferguson, "Entertainment Tonight", and "Comedy Central Presents". He continues to work at various comedy clubs and Improv theaters to a sold out crowd of admirers.
