LGBT community set to flock to London for LGBT Expo
A LANDMARK LGBT Expo event, showcasing pride festivities, culture, stage shows, lifestyle exhibition and parallel charity events, lands in London in October.
- (1888PressRelease) March 08, 2011 - The International LGBT Expo-Fest, the first of its kind in the Capital, creates a truly unique weekend for the LGBT community, family, friends and supporters. Its mission: to build a promotional platform for LGBT businesses, while supporting charity causes and emerging artists - as well as bridging the gap between the social and professional lives of the LGBT community, and providing a springboard to developing the pink pound from the community to the community.
The event will see up to 150 exhibitors, thousands of attendees and an action-packed entertainment agenda with BIG surprises yet to be revealed.
Event Director, Rita Palmeiro: "The gay community is often labelled a "party only" community which is totally inaccurate. It has accentuated cultural interests such as fashion, the arts, gastronomy, sports, well-being, entertainment, travel and many have a successful career or own their own business."
The event, that's provoked a buzz within the community and many LGBT companies, has also sparked the interest of mainstream organizations looking to target and serve this specific market.
"We do have strict criteria regarding mainstream companies wishing to exhibit at the event and profit from the Pink Pound." Rita says
"We want to make sure these companies are committed to serving the LGBT consumer as a long term client and not just looking for a one-off event to help them test the water, generate leads or push the hard sell."

Expo-Fest Lifestyle Productions Ltd, organizer and promoter of the event, considered other cities, but decided on London.

The International LGBT Expo-Fest takes place at the Royal Horticultural Halls - Central London , on the 29th and 30th of October 201
