Let the Games Begin at Oktoberfest Jacksonville at Anheuser-Busch Brewery

- Jacksonville, FL (1888PressRelease) September 21, 2017 - There won’t be a dull moment at the 2017 Jacksonville Oktoberfest, which will be held Sept. 29 and 30 at Anheuser-Busch Jacksonville Brewery. The Games of Oktoberfest will take place on Saturday, Sept. 30 and will span from 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Along with beer, food and live entertainment, you’ll find game stations throughout the venue sponsored by Ocean County Purveyors, Sensible Recycling, Crick & Love, P.A. and 7 Bridges Heating and Air.
The Games of Oktoberfest begins on Saturday with the brat eating competition starting at 1:30 p.m. and ending at 2 p.m. After that, participants are granted a break to digest and get ready for the women's stein hoisting competition at 2:45 p.m. followed by the men's stein hoisting competition at 3:45 p.m. The Oktoberfest costume contest, called the Lederhosen competition, starts at 4:45 p.m. and the last game of the day, Tug of War, begins at 5:45 p.m.
Fun4FirstCoastKids KINDERFEST Family Zone will be open for all ages from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will also be live music on three different stages throughout the day. For some after-dark fun, the Haunted Brewery’s Hopocalypse Live Action Zombie Hunt will also kick off on Friday, Sept. 29. It will include a zombie apocalypse interactive experience throughout the brewery, produced by Jacksonville Haunts. The Haunted Brewery will continue every Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. throughout the month of October and will include the zombie hunt, zombie paintball, creepy clown carnEvil and more.
