- (1888PressRelease) October 31, 2019 - New York, NY Tacticalpr//October 29th, 2019 in an historic measure The U.S. House of Representatives has passed a bill that would make animal cruelty a federal felony. The Preventing Animal Cruelty and Torture Act, or PACT Act, bans abusive behavior including crushing, burning, drowning, suffocating, impaling and other bodily injury toward any non-humans.
We at Let No Dog Die in Vein www.letnodogdieinvein.com are grateful for this important protection now in place for animals here in the United States. However, it’s not enough.
Our mission is simple do everything we can to end the horrific Yulin Dog Meat Festival. What is this festival you ask?
Is it a celebration of companionship, love of dogs, a festival of joy? NO! Not even close. It’s a festival of the worst torture we have ever witnessed. What’s worse, it has been happening annually for the last nine years.
Every June in China they hold an annual event that leads to the grotesque, inhumane slaughter and outright torture and consumption of thousands of dogs and cats. The practice is so barbaric that the images and video from this event are the stuff of nightmares. Think we are overreaching in our assessment of this kill fest? Type “Yulin Dog Meat Festival” into Google click on images and videos. I guarantee you will be outraged and horrified.
At Let No Dog Die in Vein we are working to bring much needed attention to this ongoing catastrophe. We are utilizing a tripartite division.
1. Mobilize the animal loving public.
2. Shed light on the utter darkness that is the Yulin Dog Meat Festival.
3. Hold China accountable by creating a direct economic impact with US purchasing power.
We at Catalyst for Change Advocacy Group are just getting started. To date we have exhibited at Eleventh Hour Rescues Annual Festival which attracts over 5000 people and their pets. We handed out pamphlets and educated people on what is happening to dogs and cats in China. We’ve hosted a pet adoption event and sent our position letters to the CEOS of major US based pet supply companies to develop meaningful dialogue and be an agent of change.
For 9 years this event has gone on in plain sight (remember the search results) Let’s not see this happen for a 10th year.
