- Amarillo, TX (1888PressRelease) January 25, 2012 - Why are gourmet flavors offered in mustard and not ketchup?www.LovingLeroys.com MMGroup of Wisconsin has finally answered the question and more importantly come up with a solution. LeRoy's brand CEO and Co-Creator Lisa Smith said, "If your product is outstanding, you can absolutely make your mark in a very competitive industry," as she explains the 2011 national roll out featuring LeRoy's Gourmet Flavored Ketchup.
Lisa Smith encourages young entrepreneurs who fear this industry to think outside the box, saying that listening to exactly what the customer wants leads to creating what the industry lacks.
Up until now, only basic well-known condiment giants could be found in the condiment aisle, and no one has really attempted to squeeze in and get some shelf space. Lisa goes on to say, "LeRoy's Gourmet Flavored Ketchup started with immediate positive response." She adds, "To me, this proves that the consumer these days has a very savvy palate, which is giving us a big window of opportunity."
Stocked shelves are critical for a successful grocer, and allowing the customer to choose from tens of thousands of products has always been the biggest goal. As the gourmet makers start to infiltrate the independent markets, this will allow the grocer to prove to their consumers that they are listening to what is wanted. Equally as important, this also gives small business a growth opportunity in the United States. No more market dominance left in the hands of the senior brands.
"It's amazing to see how excited customers are about our options," Smith said. "We've even added two new flavors, bringing our flavored ketchup line to five, with two more flavors in the works for spring 2012. We work closely with well-known meat companies, buyers, and chefs to make sure we have the best flavor options, and most importantly delicious recipes."
Smith concluded, "Our marketing team has come up with a great campaign, called 'Where is LeRoy?' The consumer submits an image of an opened bottle of their favorite LeRoy's flavor in front of a local monument, stadium, building or even city limits signs, to win free LeRoy's Ketchup! We hope everyone is saying they too are Lovin Leroy's!
