Leopold Tears set to take the stage in Brussels at Emergenza's Rock Festival
The up and coming Pop/Rock band Leopold Tears will hit the stage on Saturday June 1, 2013 at the Orangerie - Botanique Rue Royale located in Brussels. The band hopes to move on to the next stage of the Emergenza Rock Festival.
- (1888PressRelease) May 24, 2013 - Band members Quentin Hoogaert on vocals and guitar, Yann Vanhalewyn on lead guitar, Quentin de Thysebaert on bass and Laurent Seys on drums will take to the stage for a 30 minute set in hopes of moving on to the finals being held in Germany on August 11, 2013.
The band was formed in 2010 and they played their first concert in 2011. Their first recorded EP was simply named "Leopold Tears." The cover featured a raven sitting on top of an empty throne signifying "a duality between power and obsolete values faded with time. Their music is built in the confrontation between ethereal melodies and riffs pests, all dominated by a powerful and delicate voice filled with a certain romantic gloom."
Those who have heard Leopold Tears perform say that a singer's voice like that of Quentin Hoogaert's is a rare find. A serious accident in 2012 broke Hoogaert's jaw. The accident set the band back, but Hoogaert made a miraculous recovery and is back and as strong as ever. Now the band moves on to a brand new venture in their lives by performing in front of thousands during a Emergenza Rock Festival event.
Leopold Tears hopes to win the fans vote and move on to gain an opportunity to be crowned the 'Best Band in the World" at the finals in Germany. The Emergenza Rock Festival will give Leopold Tears this opportunity, which the band clearly deserves. Keep your eye on Leopold Tears they could be the next big thing!
