LearnSomething to Showcase Specialty Pharmacy Services at 2012 Armada Conference
While at the 2012 Armada Specialty Pharmacy Conference LearnSomething will be unveiling its line of specialty pharmacy services for retailers.
- (1888PressRelease) April 03, 2012 - LearnSomething will be unveiling its line of specialty pharmacy services for retailers at the 2012 Armada Specialty Pharmacy Conference, May 1-4, in the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas.
Among the specialty pharmacy products they'll be showcasing are the DrugAdvisor Information Networks and REMS education programs.
The DrugAdvisor Networks allow retailers to access brief online, information courses on specialty pharmacy products. Through DrugAdvisor, pharmacists will be able to earn certification in a specialty pharmacy product.
"This will make it easy for doctors to recommend a specific pharmacy to their patients and be confident the patient gets the medication counseling they need to use drugs and devices correctly," says Rick Fuelling, LearnSomething's executive vice president and chief operating officer.
Also on display will be LearnSomething-APhA's (American Pharmacists Association) comprehensive REMS services, including the TIRF REMS Access Program (which combines individual programs for Transmucosal Immediate Release Fentanyl products into a convenient, single program).
Attendees will be able to sample REMS 101 and REMS 102, free foundational courses for retailers and learners, and available with continuing pharmacy education (CPE). "Developing DrugAdvisor and offering REMS programs and other specialty pharmacy information services are a very good fit for us," says Fuelling. "These products are built on our extensive compliance education network - with 85% penetration in community pharmacies - and provide manufacturers with a cost-effective way to get specialty pharmacy information to retailers."
Other specialty pharmacy programs available or in development cover patient counseling, and patient medication adherence and compliance.
"One of the great benefits of this conference," says Fuelling, "is getting face time with attendees. Once we discover their specialty pharmacy needs, we're confident we can use our experience in building and delivering education, and connecting retailers and manufacturers to create solutions."
