Learning Light Supports PresentationTube By Making Open Content Available Via The E-Learning Centre
Learning Light, which provides advice and help to organisations on how to use e-learning and learning technologies to improve their business performance, is making PresentationTube available via The E-Learning Centre website.
- (1888PressRelease) January 22, 2014 - The E-learning Centre is an information resource about e-learning and learning technologies for business education, not-for-profit or the public sector. In addition to the information and resources freely available on the site are a number of e-learning materials. These are gathered under the heading of 'courses' and produced by acknowledged leaders in technology-delivered corporate learning.
PresentationTube, an enterprise which is sponsored by the Internet Society, ByteScout, Microsoft and Learning Light, offers a desktop presentation recorder and video sharing platform to help teachers, students and business professionals to produce and share professional and high quality video presentations.
The recorder allows presenters to narrate and annotate PowerPoint slides and synchronise visual aids, including webcam footage, whiteboard, drawing board and web browser. The platform integrates the recorded video and scrollable slide thumbnails, allowing the audience to move to the respective video content and control both the time and progress of video presentation.
Learning Light director, David Patterson, commented: "We're delighted to be able to make this open content freely available via the E-learning Centre website.
"Indeed, PresentationTube offers two ways of creating presentations - some of which is free but, for higher quality presentations, the premium version is certainly superior. Users are encouraged to develop presentations, on a variety of topics, and then upload these to the PresentationTube website, in the manner of open content sites.
"We expect this to be a popular component of the newly re-launched E-learning Centre - as a source of ready-made presentations to be included in a course, or even a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) perhaps," he added.
