Leading private tuition provider Tutors International to launch private forum for its tutors to share advice and best practice
In response to requests from its tutors, Tutors International has developed an internal forum for its tutors to share best practice and advice without compromising client confidentiality.
- (1888PressRelease) September 27, 2011 - Tutors International announces the development of an internal forum provided for private tutors in its employ to enable the sharing of best practice, resources and advice. The forum has been developed in response to requests from the company's private tutors for a way to communicate privately when on assignment in countries all over the world. "Being a full-time private tutor for a family is a difficult and challenging job," said Adam Caller, founder of Tutors International, "and our tutors have asked us for a way to share ideas and advice with their colleagues as they understand the kinds of challenges our tutors face. We experimented with closed groups on LinkedIn and briefly tried Facebook but we were dissatisfied with privacy issues and our tutors were reluctant to use networks tied to career networking and broader socialising," Adam explained.
"We've been looking for a solution for some time and it became clear that we needed to build a forum on our own server and thereby guarantee security," Adam continued. "Our tutors are well-aware that they must never disclose any personal information about their clients, or give details about their assignment that may reveal the identity of the family they are working for," Adam said. "The forum is instead a means for our tutors to share teaching methods, exercises and provide support should it be required, much in the same way that teachers support each other in a school. Being a full-time private tutor is inherently isolating, so providing a means of communication with colleagues is something that we consider to be very important and beneficial for our tutors," Adam concluded.
