Hamlyn will serve on the group's leadership board and facilitate programming that helps local designers become better able to practice their craft. Founded in 1986, AIGA Raleigh is the eighth chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Arts. AIGA Raleigh has more than 350 professional, associate, and student members from all over the state. - Prior to her promotion to creative director, Hamlyn served as a senior copywriter with Clean Design for six years, developing communications for clients including John Deere and Sony Ericsson. She came to Clean Design with nine years of copywriting experience, working for several agencies including Elberson Partners in Charlotte, N.C. and the Martin Agency in Richmond, Va.
- Hamlyn received undergraduate degrees from Peace College and the University of South Carolina. She earned her master's degree in communication in copywriting from the VCU Brand Center in Richmond, Va.
- Hamlyn's work has appeared in the Communication Arts Advertising Annual and has won several Addy awards.
- A native of Florence, S.C., she resides in Cary with her husband, Greg.
