KBA Europe brings OGP training to UK after successful delivery of the course in Singapore and USA!
- (1888PressRelease) June 28, 2013 - KB Associates Europe (KBAE) is pleased to announce the launch of the OGP Client Worksite Representative course in Aberdeen, UK from the 5th to 9th August 2013. This course is scheduled after being successfully delivered in Singapore and United States over the past two years.
KBA were officially recognised to run this course by OGP in 2012; this was after spending months in developing the course to ensure that it complies with the OGP requirements and received rapid approval once it was first audited. This is an essential competency development course for client worksite representatives who need to act as the 'eyes and ears' of the client with regards to safety, planning, system and procedural assurance, day to day operations, contractual compliance requirements, for what maybe both onshore preparation and offshore operations of a project.
This course has been developed to enable delegates to understand their roles and responsibilities as outlined by industry guidance documents issued by Oil & Gas Producers (OGP) and International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) as well as any legislative requirements due to area of operation. It offers a holistic overview of offshore legislation and the common issues affecting offshore construction, diving and maritime operations. These issues are further explored to deal with regional differences.

The tutor team consists of a group of experienced consultants who have each been in the industry for over 20 years. Darren Brunton has worked in the offshore oil & gas industry as a diver, diving supervisor, client representative, diving system auditor, company auditor, HSE diving management trainer as well as military diving instructor. With an overall career in the diving industry spanning from 1979, he brings to the course the hands-on experience of offshore operations, safety management, compliance and training deliverables. Brendan with many years as a specialist diving consultant and diving systems auditor brings to the course the viewpoint of legal compliance as well as the hands on diving technical aspects from working as a client representative. Murray brings a wealth of engineering knowledge and experience to the course with regards to the subsea controls, isolations and interventions.
