Launch of Modern Vermont Furniture Lines Coincident with "Made in America" Trend Means More Jobs for Vermonters
Vermont furniture companies are benefitting from renewed interest in handcrafted, American made goods as a result of a recent campaign led by ABC News.
- (1888PressRelease) April 09, 2011 - Three new lines of modern Vermont-made furniture are being rolled out at Vermont Woods Studios just in time to coincide with the nationwide wave of interest in "American Made" goods. "The timing is serendipitous," according to co-owner Ken Farabaugh "as we have been working on launching these furniture collections for several months. Nonetheless, the "Made in America" trend is bringing us greater traffic and is translating to more furniture industry jobs for Vermonters. That's something that is well overdue", said Farabaugh.
"We have a long tradition of craftsmanship and sustainability in Vermont's extensive network of furniture makers and now is an opportune time for us to tell the world about it. With some 2000+ small woodworking businesses in our state, Vermont has become the Fine Furniture Capital of America. Woodworkers are excited about the opportunity the "Made in America" trend is bringing them to grow their businesses and provide more jobs for Vermonters."
Photos and information about the three new modern furniture lines being launched this week can be found on the Vermont Woods Studios website.
