The Community Foundation of Utah was founded by Greg Warnock and Fraser Nelson. Two of Launch's executives, Brandt Page and Andrew Rail, have been mentoring KUED and Salt Lake Head Start, some of Utah's award-winning non-profit organizations.
Salt Lake Head Start recently won the Social Innovation Challenge - a first-of-its-kind competition giving nonprofits access to 40 of Utah's brightest and most talented entrepreneurs and 12 graduate students from Brigham Young University and the University of Utah. With hundreds of applicants, Head Start beat fierce competition with its award-winning pamphlet describing their services for children, such as nutritious meals, medical and dental screenings, and academic gains.
"We're delighted to have been chosen as a mentor for Salt Lake Head Start, and KUED," said Director of Client Services Andrew Rail. "We feel like we're giving back to a community that we love, and that has allowed our business to flourish. We want others to be able to do the same."
KUED was also a finalist in the Social Innovation Challenge.
