Recruitment software providers release their latest outline of the latest job numbers and datA.
(1888PressRelease) March 06, 2012 - Recruitleads have released their latest data on the state of the jobs market in the last four weeks, with Finance still offering the highest number of jobs available across all sectors of the UK economy. There was also some good news for graduates, with the number of jobs slightly increased over the past month, standing higher by mid-Feb than they have done in many previous months. Recruitleads specialist lead generation software is aimed at busy recruiters and scrapes all the major UK jobsites to identify, track and update current leads. Their data routinely provides a compelling insight into the state of the UK jobs market during any given period. The latest results showed a mixed bag of results, with the numbers of vacancies up and down week by week across many different sectors.
The total number of Graduate vacancies stood at a national total of just 289, with a downward trend each week from a high of 75 one week in mid-January. Although the numbers are lower than for previous years, overall the numbers do show some improvement. For those looking for work within the Financial sector, the picture was very different, with a total of 33,296 leads found in less than four weeks. Although those numbers fell towards the end of January (from 11924 mid-Jan to 6870 a week later) there was some recovery, and then a drop again towards mid-Feb (640).
In the Public Sector, mid-Jan saw 144 leads, rising to 285 within a week, and then falling again, with some recovery a fortnight later. Overall, the total stood at still under a thousand (956). Within Training and Education, there were 4204 leads, with Social Care coming much further down the tables at just 573. Despite a gain in the third week of January, the general trend was down. Arts and Sports offered 337 leads, overtaken by Not For Profit, Charities and Volunteering at 1179. Military vacancies stood at 205, again with a general downward trend.
"The kind of fluctuations were seeing are normal for the time of year, and although it's a somewhat difficult start to the year in some sectors, we're hopeful of definitive improvements as we head into 2012,"
At the other end of the scale, the figures for pharmaceutical jobs were second only to Finance, with 26, 458 leads in total, again, fluctuating as the weeks progressed. Behind these two industries, however, the next highest number of vacancies was significantly lower, with a total of 8068 Health Care leads which dropped week by week with one exception in early Feb.
