- (1888PressRelease) August 17, 2013 - Carmichael, California - The Foundation for Chiropractic Progress is pleased to welcome Dr. Suzan Starler as a member and new partner of our organization.
Dr. Starler is a licensed Chiropractor with over 20 years experience in helping her patients treat low back pain and other health problems using chiropractic care techniques such as spinal manipulation. She is also a recognized physician with an incredible knowledge of nutrition and how it relates to chiropractic and overall health care.
A native-born Los Angeleno, Dr. Starler was first introduced to chiropractic treatment like most of the population; she got hurt and couldn't find help or relief anywhere else. She had injured herself while on a business trip and went through a series of doctors whose treatment advice was higher amounts of painkillers, exploratory surgery and even anti-depressants. It wasn't until she engaged a friend who was a chiropractor that she began to get better.
She quickly became a believer and did her research, learning about the founder and pioneers of our business such as Dr. Clarence S. Gonstead, Dr. Bartlett Joshua Palmer and Dr. Daniel David Palmer. What she learned about chiropractic benefits and patient care impressed her so much that she changed careers to pursue and receive her license.
After setting up her practice back home in Los Angeles, she rapidly established herself as a care provider who will not give up on a patient. Preferring to treat patients instead of symptoms; she has become an expert in analyzing and improving her client's lifestyle instead of simply treating back pain or numbness of the hands and feet.
After her own experiences with auto-immune disease and two strokes, she established not just a regimen of chiropractic manipulations and exercises for her patients, but a new way to use those with nutrition to protect and rebuild a failing body. To use her own words, "Life is to be enjoyed, not suffered through and it isn't meant to make you suffer."
She has named this treatment procedure Integrative Health Care. Through a series of blood tests, she helps a patient develop a recovery plan to eliminate or reduce the symptoms of many recurring illnesses. In most cases, these patients not only see rapid improvement in their overall health, but are able to reduce the number of medications they have been taking, some of them going back for decades.
It has certainly been a success for Dr. Starler. She now owns and operates two clinics: One in West Los Angeles and the other in Malibu. We at the Foundation are proud to have her working with us to educate the public on not just spinal decompression, but how to help our patients improve their health for the rest of their lives.
