It will be held Sunday-Thursday, Oct. 23-27 on the MSU campus in East Lansing.
Many of the industry's most recognizable and successful companies have already registered and sending more than one employee. They include Coca-Cola, Filterfresh, U.S. Marine Corps, G&J Marketing and Vistar, just to name a few.
"There is so much more to this high level program than just sitting in a classroom, and the 400 industry professionals who have already participated can tell you how they continue to use the strategic thinking, network of industry contacts and business-changing processes they gained. Take yourself out of the office for just five days and you will return with renewed energy, new business strategies and personal growth," said Schleyer.
The NAMA-MSU Executive Development Program's distinguished faculty from MSU's Eli Broad Graduate School of Management, The School of Hospitality Business and the College of Communications and Sciences along with key industry experts will cover topics on leadership, team building, finance, customer service, negotiation strategies, marketing, and sales. A brand new session on social media has been added to the program which will be taught by a LinkedIn employee and former MSU staff member.
Participants will have ample opportunities to network and brainstorm with other industry leaders through classroom discussion and an interactive case study which allows groups to develop strategies to reinvent a full-line vending operation followed by team presentations.
The program has been given a new format as well. "Over the years, we've listened to past participants' feedback on the program and changed the format this year to a later start on Sunday. This will allow participants to spend more weekend time with family," concluded Schleyer.
