Spoken word artist, writer and poet, Mo'Kha Uzuri will release her first book, Rainbows & r(E)volution, on August 31, 2012.
Mixing poetry and prose, Rainbows & r(E)volution purports to reflect the emotional and spiritual journey the human mind goes through in life. The book offers positive insights and lessons on important issues, such as depression, loss, death, and self-acceptance, while also serving as a repository for Uzuri's intimate thoughts, memories, triumphs, and personal pitfalls.
"Rainbows and I have a deep connection. Like with Noah, it is a symbol of my covenant with my higher power," says the artist. "My determination to leave a legacy for my children and fulfill a lifelong dream propelled me beyond my fears of inadequacy."

About Mo'Kha Uzuri
A native of Chicago, Mo'Kha Uzuri (pronounced ooo-zoo-ree) is a self-proclaimed Revolutionary Soul Singer, spoken word artist, writer, and poet who began writing at a young age.
