Larry Laswell's techno-thriller Vows to the Fallen Launches on 70th Anniversary of VJ Day
Historical fiction novelist and navy veteran Larry Laswell announced his new novel, Vows to the Fallen would be released on August 15, 2015.
- (1888PressRelease) August 15, 2015 - Historical fiction novelist and navy veteran Larry Laswell announced today that he has released his new novel, Vows to the Fallen, a story featuring the emotional journey of a naval officer and his crew, set in the South Pacific during World War II. The release of the novel coincides with the 70th anniversary of VJ (Victory over Japan) Day on August 15th, 2015, a day which marked the ending of World War II in 1945.
The book, which Laswell calls "a tribute to the destroyer sailors everywhere," honors the heroism of destroyer sailors who became a major "point of the spear" and suffered many of the major hardships in WWII following the attack on Pearl Harbor. Vows to the Fallen is available at Amazon's Kindle store.
Laswell is also the author of The Marathon Watch, the sequel to Vows to the Fallen, and A Ship-load of Sea Stories & 1 Fairy Tale, a collection of Laswell's navy stories inspired by life at sea.

About Larry Laswell:
Larry Laswell served in the US Navy for eight years. In navy parlance, he was a mustang, someone who rose from the enlisted ranks to receive an officer's commission. While enlisted, he was assigned to the USS John Marshall SSBN-611 (Gold Crew). After earning his commission, he served as main engines officer aboard the USS Intrepid CV-11. His last assignment was as a submarine warfare officer aboard the USS William M. Wood DD-715 while she was home ported in Elefsis, Greece.
In addition to writing, Larry fills his spare time with woodworking and furniture design.
