LAN Airlines Opens A New Route From San Francisco To Lima, Peru
LAN Airlines, part of the larger LAN Chile company, has recently extended its flight network in South America by adding a new route connecting the USA with Peru. On July 1st LAN added their fourth US gateway city by announcing departures from San Francisco International Airport with the new non-stop service to Lima, Peru.

LAN Peru, a division of LAN Chile, is started operations offering four flights a week to Lima running on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday with connecting services to many other Peruvian and international destinations from the modern Jorge Chavez Lima airport which acts as a hub for South America. San Francisco joins the other 3 United States gateways cities of New York, Los Angeles and Miami and the route will operate with Boeing 767s carrying 221 passengers.
Peru is a very popular tourist destination due to the rich cultural and natural attractions to be found in this Andean country.
