    The event, to be held in central London, will look at the very specific issues affecting laboratories and those who work in them. Industry experts will talk about the legal aspects of laboratory ergonomics, best practice and success stories and the various ergonomic risk reduction measures companies can put in place.

    Speakers include Andy Nicholson, managing director of Axis Ergonomics, and Robert Brookes, health and safety advisor and ergonomics lead UK for research and development pharmaceuticals giant GlaxoSmithKline.

    Andrew Nicholson, BSc (Hons), MIEHF, CMIOSH is a principal consultant with more than 30 years' experience in the fields of ergonomics and occupational health and safety. Robert Brookes BSc (Hons), CMIOSH, MIIRSM is a chartered safety advisor with specialist knowledge of research laboratory activities. Robert has experience of working within research facilities management and environment health and safety teams.
