Long Beach Restaurant Earns 5 Star & Golden Bacchus Awards.
- Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) April 09, 2015 - On the eve of its 25th anniversary, L'Opera Ristorante in downtown Long Beach walked away with top honors at the annual Southern California Restaurant Writers Awards. The venerable Italian restaurant was presented with the coveted 5 Star Award, the highest honor for food, service and ambiance and the Golden Bacchus Award for its unparalleled wine list and wine program. L'Opera, which has earned consistent praise from the organization since it opened its doors, was one of only 3 Italian restaurants in all of Southern California to be honored with both the 5 Star and the Golden Bacchus awards.
"On behalf of the entire staff at L'Opera, we are proud to accept this recognition from the Southern California Restaurant Writers," said veteran restaurateur Terry Antonelli, owner/proprietor of L'Opera. "We work hard to ensure that every guest experience is unforgettable in terms of our cuisine, wine selection, service and ambiance and will continue to do so."
Antonelli recently parted ways with long-time co-owner Enzo DeMuro. He is currently renovating the restaurant in anticipation of its 25th anniversary celebration. He said that details marking that milestone will be forthcoming.
The 170-seat critically acclaimed L'Opera features a menu of northern Italian cuisine. Large artworks by such renowned locals as Aldo Luongo adorn the walls and floor-to-ceiling windows allow guests to watch the hustle and bustle of the city and the Blue Line. The restaurant and its Executive Chef Walter Cotta are regularly featured on television and in other media. Visit lopera.com or call (562) 491-0066 for more information.
