- (1888PressRelease) February 01, 2014 - LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Beverly Hills based record label JMWest Entertainment announced the release of the official lyric video to accompany the up-tempo Pop/R&B single "Yellow Shirt" by Kylie Marcus, which released for airplay on November 21, 2013.
"Initially, we weren't planning to release the single until 2014," says Marcus, "You can imagine how ecstatic I was when Sirius XM started playing it on 20 on 20 on Thanksgiving Day."
"Yellow Shirt," says record producer/co-writer Jean-Michel Soupraya, "is a fun, groovy song that draws people together into its energy - its good vibe - in a very positive way. This is the kind of song that makes you forget everything else and just enjoy."
Kylie Marcus is a 21-year old American Pop/R&B recording
artist/songwriter coming out of the independent record label JMWest Entertainment. Marcus has roots in Florida, New York, Colorado, Arizona, Illinois and her current home base - Los Angeles.
"Yellow Shirt" is Marcus' debut single off of her upcoming EP, "No Disguise", set to release March 18, 2014. "Even though I wrote my first song at nine years old and that got made into a demo," says Marcus, "this is my first real record and I can't stop pinching myself. I'm so grateful that so many people like it!"
The lyric video production was by Emy Freeman and the caricatures were commissioned from digital caricature artist, Angie Jordan who's recent work with Sofia Vergara caught Freeman's eye: "This is such a fun song, and Angie Jordan's style just captures perfectly Kylie's sense of humor."
"This song is literally fantasy becoming reality," says Marcus, "from the lyrics to the way it is changing my life. My favorite thing is to see this grin start to spread across peoples' faces when they hear it start. Then they start moving and I think - this is my dream coming true, right there, in this person."
