Kurumba Maldives Announces A New Department

The Dhivehi word, Majaa, means fun. This will be the underlying philosophy for the Recreation department. Majaa Recreation will be the "fun" centre of the island. This allows it to be a unique identity and destination within Kurumba.
The purpose of Majaa Recreation is to provide guests with many options to enjoy their holiday while experiencing the Maldivian palette and learning about the water that surround Kurumba in an environmentally responsible way with a Maldivian twist.
Majaa Recreation will be split into different categories to reflect the different types of activities available. These categories are; Kan'du (Ocean) - Ocean based activities; Hakatha (Energy) Energy or sporting activities; Kulhivaru (Games) Games; Visnun (Learning) Understanding and learning activities; Haveeru (Evening) Evening activities. This will allow guests to easily identify the type of activity to match their taste as well as allowing guests an opportunity to interact with the local culture, environment and meet other guests to have fun along the way. Some examples of the complimentary Kand'u activities are snorkeling lessons and guided house reef tours. For Visun there are Bodu Beru lessons, wine tastings and Maldivian cooking demonstrations.
Majaa Recreation Manager, Monica Comanescu, and her team of six (6) recreation members complete this newly introduced department in Kurumba Maldives (http://www.kurumba.com/). The team has compiled an extensive range of daily activities that are available for guests and their families to enjoy. The talented and fully trained recreation team will supervise and lead activities with great enthusiasm, creativity and fun, to provide guests a truly fantastic holiday experience.
