Kunal Shanker appointed as Executive Assistant Manager at Holiday Inn Cochin
IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) [LON: IHG, NYSE:IHG (ADRs)], the world's largest hotel group by number of rooms, today announced the appointment of Mr. Kunal Shanker as the Executive Assistant Manager of Holiday Inn Cochin.
- Indianapolis, IN (1888PressRelease) October 22, 2011 - Kunal Shanker joins Holiday Inn Cochin with over 13 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Having spent a major part of his career across various roles within the IHG family, he has formerly worked with Crowne Plaza Soaltee Kathmandu and Crowne Plaza Delhi. Also a seasoned sales and marketing professional, he brings this expertise to his current role and in addition to having operational responsibilities will oversee the sales and marketing department.
Speaking of the new appointment, Mr. Garth Solly, General Manager at Holiday Inn Cochin said, "Since the launch of the hotel earlier this year, we have scaled operations to full capacity with a total of 212 rooms and a conference/banquet facility that can seat up to 200 people. We have been building our team with highly motivated and qualified individuals and are happy to welcome Kunal to Holiday Inn Cochin. "
Kunal Shanker will oversee operations across departments at Holiday Inn Cochin under the guidance of the GM. Within this role, he will also assume responsibility in the absence of the GM and will work closely with the IHG Corporate office to help ensure compliance with the overall brand standards.
