Orange County, CA (1888PressRelease) June 05, 2012 - Award-winning KTGY Group, Inc., Architecture and Planning, is pleased to announce that KTGY's Principal Manny Gonzalez, AIA, LEED AP, has been invited to participate in the Orange County Chapter's Building Industry Association (BIA) program, "The New Apartment Dream; Placeholder or Lifestyle Choice?" on Monday, June 18, 2012. The meeting will be held at the Turnip Rose at the Grand Newport Plaza, 1901 Newport Boulevard in Costa Mesa. The moderator for the program is Michael J. Winter, Senior Vice President, Development of SARES-REGIS Group. Andy Hetzel, Marketing Director of Lewis Operating Corp. will join Gonzalez as a speaker.
The speakers will showcase current and future higher-end apartment projects that are delivering amenities and services that rival some new home neighborhoods. Gonzalez will discuss current and future multi-family trends and who the consumers are that are choosing apartments over buying right now. He will talk about where the successes are, and what's projected for 2013. Gonzalez will also discuss whether or not the market is saturated yet or apartments are still sizzling.

At PCBC's Design Trends Forum at 1:15 p.m., Gonzalez will speak on "Multifamily Low Density: For Rent or For Sale and Value Engineered."
Gonzalez is the senior partner in KTGY's Santa Monica office and President of KTGY Group, Colorado. He is responsible for the design, land planning, and production of developments throughout the western U.S. as well as active adult and affordable multi-family communities nationwide.
In his more than 25 years of practice in residential development, Gonzalez has won numerous awards for his outstanding designs including Gold Nugget, Best in American Living, NAHB Best of 50+ Housing and Pillars of Industry, MAME and Elan. Gonzalez is currently on the Board of Directors for PCBC and is the Design Trends Forum Chair. He also sits on the Board of the National Multi Housing Council and the NAHB Multifamily Leadership Board. He has served as Chair of the AIA Housing Committee and a member of the BIA Board of Directors and national committees for The 50+ Symposium and University of Housing.
Gonzalez has been featured in Builder & Developer's list of Who's Who in Homebuilding for many years and was honored with the SAGE "Person of the Year" by BIA Southern California 55+ Housing Council. Gonzalez has written and contributed to scores of articles on residential design and is the Editorial Advisory Board (EAB) Chair for 50+ Housing Magazine and is an EAB member for 50+ Builder magazine. Gonzalez has presented his observations to audiences at numerous local, regional and national conferences as well as the 1st International Housing Conference of the Americas in Mexico City.
