    On January 10, 2008 at 10:15 am, at the CLE Mixed-Use Development Conference, Lyon and Gonzalez will be discussing “Project Design - From Concept to Construction.” Attendees will gain insight into strategies and pitfalls and how to best manage relationships with agencies and the public. Gonzalez has more than 20 years of practice in residential development and has won numerous awards for his designs. He oversees the residential studios in Santa Monica, Irvine and Denver. Lyon has led the design of various noteworthy projects from retail and mixed-use to resort and entertainment centers, including Makar Properties’ Pacific City in Huntington Beach, El Portal in South Gate, Bel Mare in Newport Beach, and the Whole Foods Market in Pasadena.     Additionally, KTGY’s Wil Wong, AIA will be a speaker at Stucco Manufacturers Association’s (SMA) lunch meeting, “Building and Designing for Fire Resistance,” on January 15, 2008, at Antonello’s Ristorante, 3800 Plaza Drive in Santa Ana, Calif. Wong will discuss why and how an architect designs for fire resistance and the current California Building Codes. Wong has been responsible for overseeing the design development, production, and construction administration of several multi-family projects throughout California. Prior to joining KTGY, Wong gained experience on a variety of commercial and residential projects and was responsible for IS and CADD/computer standards.
