- Riverside-San Bernardino, CA (1888PressRelease) July 31, 2010 - Attending the Ms. US Globe 2010 Pageant at Rancho Mirage, California, Kristen Weardon was named Woman of the Year for her unconditional support of the W.I.N. Foundation outreach.
A long-standing Naples, Florida resident and mother of two, Weardon has been devoted to her
community, working regularly in the past with several state and national charities and has
received numerous awards for her philanthropy and fund-raising.
As a National spokes model for the W.I.N. "By giving women who have dealt with varying degrees of abuse the proper tools through education, you can start to heal them. Ultimately this will help them make better decisions. When we can start to heal families, including the children within them, we can stop the cycle of abuse," Weardon said.
The W.I.N. Foundation is a non-profit organization that specializes in personal empowerment education for women.
