Kingpins Denim Show Launches In India - Bangladesh , Pakistan and Sri Lanka also to be covered
The Kingpins show from US which has been making waves in the denim industry worldwide, has announced its intention to hold the denim fair in Bangalore in April 2011. The show would invite about 20 top denim companies from South Asia to participate and display their latest collections to the discerning buyers who would be invited to attend the show.

Now The Kingpins Show is coming to South Asia and has scheduled a show in India April 2011.
Denim professionals in the US, Europe, Japan and China have come to love The Kingpins Show primarily because of it's unique concept where only top of the line companies (usually 20-25 ) in the denim supply chain - denim mills , denim garment makers, laundries etc - are invited to exhibit their products and new collections . The show's invited guest are designers, production managers or merchandisers from denim brands, retailers and. Entry to the show is limited to those who are on the Kingpins invitation list.
The Kingpins Show is the inspiration of Olah Inc - a company which has been working in the textile industry since 1959, focusing on denim and jeans since the 70's.
Olah Inc. started it's denim thrust working for Legler in Italy (first denim mill in Europe) in 1978 and continues to develop and market products from the reputed denim masters Kurabo Industries in Japan. Because of the brand and retail relationships Olah Inc. developed, The Kingpins Show has the muscle to be able to draw top buyers from denim firms to it's shows. This unique position enables The Kingpins Show to implement a very personal and distinctive flavour where exhibitors and buyers easily and informally interact as they were meeting in their own drawing rooms.
The Indian sub-continent's denim industry has grown by leaps and bounds over the last 10 years and the total denim fabric production in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh is about to exceed 1.2 billion mtrs ! . Concurrently, denim garment exports from the region have also been growing tremendously. As Chinese denim exports are set to slow down, maximum growth shall come to the sub-continent region. This increased regional importance necessitates a high quality and industry specific event to focus only on the denim supply chain and bring buyers from all over the world to source denim products in the sub-continent region. The Kingpin Show plans to fill this industry need as it has in the US and China.
Andre Olah (founder of The Kingpins Show) stated that the Indian show would have approx 20-25 exhibitors only and the show would be initially held in Bangalore . The Kingpins Show ,which has recently been sponsored by Invista, is in negotiations with Invista to sponsor their Indian show.
The companies invited to exhibit at The Kingpins Show in India will include about 13-14 factories from India and about three each from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. This mix will include denim mills, denim garment manufacturers and an assortment of accessory suppliers to the denim supply chain. Mr. Olah confirmed that he was planning to invite only "TOP OF THE LINE DENIM COMPANIES" in the region to maintain the sanctity of the show.
