In response to the recent catastrophic flooding that has devastated several areas in Spain, particularly the Valencian region, the Order of Marcus Aurelius acted swiftly to deliver essential aid. Established in 2022 by Count Miklos Cseszneky, this charitable organization, rooted in Stoic philosophy and virtuous living, is currently assisting four families severely impacted by the disaster.
The families receiving aid are benefiting from extensive support, including temporary housing, essential furnishings, clothing, appliances, and interest-free loans to facilitate their recovery and rebuilding processes.
In addition to the direct aid from the Order of Marcus Aurelius, Count and Countess Cseszneky have also made significant contributions to the flood relief efforts organized by Caritas of the Valencian Community.
The Cseszneky family's connections to the region trace back to the 13th century, when Hungarian knight Jakab Cseszneky participated in the reconquest of Valencia. Count Miklos Cseszneky has also pursued postgraduate studies in the city.
