Kent Community Foundation to Host Kent Has Talent, Nov. 18, Audition Applications due Oct. 28
The Kent Community Foundation will host Kent Has Talent next month to raise money to support its work in cultural arts and education in Kent, Washington.
- Seattle-Bellevue-Everett, WA (1888PressRelease) October 26, 2016 - The Kent Community Foundation is hosting a fundraiser, Kent Has Talent, an all-ages talent show, on Friday, November 18 at the Kent-Meridian Performing Arts Center. Presented by Bowen Scarff Lincoln Ford of Kent, Kent Has Talent will feature dancing, singing and other talents in three ages groups: youth (ages 12 and younger), ages 13 to 19 (teen) and ages 20 and up (adult). There will be a grand prize winner, division winners, and an audience choice award, all receiving cash prizes. Bender, morning show host of Bender & Molly on 106.1 KISS-FM will be the event's emcee.
Performers for the show will be selected through auditions held on October 30 by Allegro Performing Arts Academy. Anyone who lives, works or goes to school in Kent is eligible to participate. Audition applications are being accepted by Allegro through Friday, October 28. Participants will be chosen by community leaders and supporters of the arts in Kent. Due to the generosity of community sponsors, all proceeds for the event will benefit the Kent Community Foundation to support the nonprofit's work in education in cultural arts, including college scholarships and school grants. Sponsors include:
