Kennon Products, Inc. Partners With Joey's Flyfishing Foundation

- Casper, WY (1888PressRelease) July 01, 2011 - Kennon Products, Inc. is partnering with Joey's FlyFishing Foundation, Inc. to provide youth in the community with products that will enhance their fly fishing experiences.
Joey's offers mentoring programs for youth that allow them to experience fly fishing, fly tying, how to personally hand craft their own rods, and much more. Through its Capacity to Care program, Kennon will use recycled materials to provide participants with fly rod covers, reel cases and other products that will help protect their creations. It is the hope of both organizations that the partnership will deliver positive, memorable experiences to the youth within the community.
The partnership was initiated by Kennon's Production and Customer Service Manager, Rhonda Gould. Gould identified a need for a fly rod case that would be inexpensive and convenient for those who participated in Joey's programs. She decided to volunteer her time to create these cases.
In alignment with Kennon's "Go Green" efforts, Gould chose to reuse scrap material for the cases. Kennon will continue this initiative with the products created for Joey's. This practice will help to reduce waste and reinforce the environment-friendly behaviors that Joey's teaches its participants.
Kennon's Capacity to Care program offers a dollar-for-dollar match to qualifying non-profits for anything produced in-house. The program serves a dual purpose: to fill the production schedule while business is slow, and to serve the greater good. Visit www.capacitytocare.com for more information.
Joey's FlyFishing Foundation is a non-profit organization that reaches out to local youth. The foundation aims to teach youth patience, confidence and respect through mentoring and fly fishing activities.
