  • Cincinnati, OH-KY-IN (1888PressRelease) October 18, 2011 - Keep Springdale Sustainable (KSS) is joining the call of the Cincinnati occupiers in the Take Over Wall Street initiative in their expose' of a growing food crisis locally and in the nation in the extermination of nature's most necessary pollinator: the honey bee. A free movie will be shown to proclaim solidarity with those who are seeking remonstrances with multinational corporations, especially those such as the Bayer Corporation and Monsanto Corporation, who are currently protected by the EPA and FDA legislation. The crux of the documentary "The Vanishing of the Bees" is that systemic pesticides are creating Colony Collapse Disorder, the destruction of entire colonies of bees in America.

The destruction of these bees, totaling many billion per year, are currently accounting for the death of 1/3 of the honey bee population. Though KSS empathizes with Americans who have been adversely affected by tax increases and bank bailouts, it urges those concerned about the future of American families to protect the water and food supply by refraining from using carcinogenic, non-biodegradable and systemic pesticides, and boycotting companies, including Scott's Miracle-Gro that have created genetically-modified monocultural crops that have been introduced into the public domain.

More information will be presented during the movie, which will be held Friday, October 21st, from 6-730pm at Springdale Community Center, 11999 Springfield Pike, Springdale (Cincinnati), Ohio 45246 (513) 346-5700. Please contact Michael DiSalvo at 513 671-9033 or disalvo.michael ( @ ) gmail dot com to RSVP. Refreshments will served during the movie. http://keepspringdalesustainable.blogspot.com
