Kate Humble Finds Sponsor in Packington Free Range
Packington Free Range recently sponsored an evening with Kate Humble at the Lichfield Festival.
- (1888PressRelease) July 20, 2013 - Lichfield Festival (http://www.lichfieldfestival.org/) celebrated their 32nd year earlier this month and Packington Free Range (http://www.packingtonfreerange.co.uk/) are proud to have played their part in it for a second time, this year by sponsoring an evening with TV presenter, Kate Humble.
The fortnight long festival takes place annually during the month of July - this year Kate Humble, best known for her work on BBC Springwatch, gave a talk about her personal experience of moving from London to the Wye Valley. Kate made the move to the country in order to take over a 117 acre farm, consequently saving a small part of our British farming heritage.
Staffordshire-based pork and poultry producers, Packington Free Range, were welcomed by the Lichfield Festival to sponsor the evening as Kate's ethical approach to farming and the environment is perfectly tuned with the free range farming philosophy.
Sally Mercer, the wife of Packington Pork MD Rob Mercer, attended the evening on behalf of the farm, "Packington are delighted to have been involved with the Lichfield Festival again. This evening with Kate was particularly relevant for us as it touches on issues which are close to our heart. It was educational, entertaining, insightful and very well attended despite the heat wave. I hope next year continues to touch on farming and environmental issues which are so relevant to our lovely part of Staffordshire."
