Kartell releases new EP 'Tender Games'
Roche Musique's label head, Kartell has unveiled his new EP 'Tender Games'.

Kartell's upcoming EP 'Tender Games' is out 1st June. The first tracks released from the EP have been praised by the likes of Indie Shuffle, Complex and the French Villa Schweppes with the two combined receiving over 100,000 plays in less than two weeks. 'Attracted' is also being featured on YouTube channel Majestic Casual which has over two million subscribers.
With his previous releases garnering support from tastemakers such as BBC Music, Ear Milk, Indie Shuffle and Hunger TV, Kartell is evidently leaving a lasting impression both in his native France and across the world.
Kartell is an iconic figure and spearhead of French label, Roche Musique (Darius, FKJ, Cherokee, Zimmer, Cézaire…). Supported and acknowledged by producers such as Kaytranada, The Magician, Bondax or Kastle, Kartell has made a name for himself as a young and gifted house producer with two of his most famous collaborations (Karma Kid/Jabberwocky) receiving over one million views.
'All I Have' was the first single to be released May 11. Incorporating the light-mood R&B, house tones and Nu-Disco that have become his signature, this track acted as the perfect teaser. Up next came 'Attracted'; one of the more purely house focussed numbers on the EP. 'Attracted' is gorgeously melodic and showcases the nail-on-head production you can expect to hear throughout the entire record.
Opening with a serious nod towards house and chillwave, Tender Games is delicate and upbeat from the off. Still to be heard are: All Night, Aura (again, featuring J-Rican), Falling (featuring Tom Bailey) and Mood as well as the the three track B-side which is more dancefloor focussed but maintains the expert sensibility that Kartell is famed for.
Following the success of Riviera in 2012 and Sapphire in 2013, 'Tender Games' has been highly anticipated and will reaffirm the way Kartell is already viewed within the industry: A French house music pioneer.
