Kansas City Barbeque Society Sanctions & Governor Mike Pence Proclaims CCSFEST As An Indiana State Barbeque Championship Competition
The Calvary Christian School (CCS) Spring Festival & BBQ Competition (aka: CCSFEST) (www.ccsfest.com) is a rain-or-shine community event sponsored by All Star Roofing and set to kick-off with its inaugural festival on Saturday, April 11th, 2015 from 10a-6p.

CCSFEST will draw many types of enthusiasts from the public to attend, even registrants driving from surrounding states. The public is encouraged to attend, and participate in the various event categories:

2. Backyard BBQ Competition for Community Amateurs
3. Dessert Competition for the Community
4. Massive Kids Zone
5. Nearly 100 Artisan & Vendor Booths
6. Classic Car Show
7. Silent Auction
8. All-Day Live Christian Music
9. Food Trucks & Fresh Hot Competition BBQ
-The Professional BBQ Competition is open to Kansas City BBQ Society (KCBS) cook teams from all over the Midwest. CCSFEST is a sanctioned KCBS event as well as a qualifier for the BBQ invitational competitions. Governor Mike Pence has proclaimed that the event will be recognized as an Indiana State BBQ Championship. The CCSFEST is the only KCBS-sanctioned BBQ championship in the City of Indianapolis (proper). The combination of KCBS-sanctioning and onsite representation and governance along with the Indiana State Governor-proclamation brings significant credibility to the professional competition and guarantees excellent hardwood smoked meats (chicken, ribs, pork, brisket) will be judged by KCBS-certified BBQ judges.
-CCSFEST will also serve as a venue for backyard or amateur BBQ enthusiasts to prepare and submit their favorite BBQ'd chicken & BBQ'd Ribs. Celebrity judges will be chosen which may include politicians, ministers, chefs, educators, sponsors, etc. The public is welcome to enter as a participant.
-The community is encouraged to participate in the dessert competition, which is non-categorized. Any dessert may be submitted and judged. Entrants have a chance to win a cash prize or ribbon.
-The massive Kids Zone includes multiple bounce house activities, a life-sized angry birds-like game, modest faux sumo wrestling, sledge-hammer car smash, and many festival booths with ticket-based winnings the kids can turn in for prizes at the prize booth.
-Many unique, hand-made, and in-demand products will be available for purchase in the artisan and vendor area.
-Classic cars, and anything on wheels worth showing will be onsite for a must-see car show experience.
-Silent Auction items will be on display and auctioned off to benefit the school.
-The festival is free to attend; wristbands may be purchased for the kids activities and festival booths.
