Kankakee Valley Montessori School Launches New Website
As part of their decision to create a larger web presence, Kankakee Valley Montessori School launched a new website in collaboration with LinkPoint Media. This website allows parents easy access to events and important dates, and allows donors to make online donations.

Kankakee Valley Montessori School is a private school for children aged three through nine years old. Children work in classrooms with other students of varying ages, not just their own age group, so students can teach each other and learn from each other. The Montessori school environment was developed to facilitate a lifelong love of learning in its students, which occurs because students have a positive experience with education in Montessori classrooms. At Kankakee Valley Montessori School, students experience a low student-to-teacher ratio, individualized learning, and a supportive community.
To develop their new website, Kankakee Valley Montessori School (located in Bourbonnais, IL) hired LinkPoint Media, a web design and development company. The website includes contact forms, an events calendar so parents have an easy-to-find school schedule, and will include online donation capability.
Montessori schools are based on an educational method created by Maria Montessori, who put an emphasis on independence in the classroom, freedom within limits, and mixed-age classrooms. The "freedom within limits" is displayed when students are allowed to choose their own work from a number of options given to them. This way, students can enjoy working at their own pace and through a "discovery" method, rather than from a lecture-style instruction.
