As a not-for-profit organization, Tree Canada's charitable efforts provide education, technical assistance, resources and financial support to encourage fellow Canadians to plant and care for trees in both rural and urban areas.
Aiming to help drivers reduce their carbon footprint, Kanetix reminds Canadians of the link between transportation and the environment. Several simple steps can make a significant difference on the environment such as carpooling, taking advantage of public transit, and resisting the urge to leave the car running when it's cold outside.
As the campaign recently passed its halfway point, Kanetix hopes to achieve a total donation of 2500 trees in 2012!
The campaign officially launched on November 1, 2012 and will continue throughout the month. Kanetix expects to donate well over 1000+ trees to the organization to be planted in the spring of 2013 in rural, urban, and forested regions across Canada.
