Mr. Kabir A.N. Duggal, senior associate in the International Arbitration group of Baker and McKenzie's New York joined INBA as an Executive Committee Member INBA, New York Chapter.

Duggal Executive Committee Member INBA, New York Chapter - "Kabir Duggal is a senior associate in the International Arbitration group of Baker and McKenzie's New York office. Prior to this, he was a senior associate at Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt and Mosle LLP. His practice focuses on investor-state arbitration, commercial arbitration, and on issues and disputes relating to public international law. He has been involved in several important arbitration proceedings under rules of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), and United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) in the oil, gas, cement, and telecommunications industries. His experience includes disputes under numerous bilateral and multilateral investment treaties (including the Energy Charter Treaty) in South Asia, Latin America, Central Asia, Middle East, and Africa.
Prior to this, Mr. Duggal has worked on many different aspects of public international law. He was a consultant at The World Bank Group in Washington, D.C., where he worked with the Development Research Group focusing on socioeconomic rights in the developing world. He also has worked as a research clerk with the Honorable Justice Ms. Sujata Manohar, Supreme Court of India (Retired), and as a full-time consultant for UNICEF India working on issues of child rights, child protection, and policy issues.
Mr. Duggal is a Lecturer-in-Law at the Columbia Law School, teaching "International Investment Arbitration," and also gives lectures at the Georgetown University Law School and Fordham Law School. He serves as the head of the advisory team on matters relating to procedure on investmentclaims.com hosted by Oxford University Press. He also serves on ICSID Review's Peer Review Board.
Mr. Duggal is a graduate of the University of Mumbai (University Medal), University of Oxford (DHL-Times of India Scholar) and NYU School of Law (Hauser Global Scholar). He is admitted to practice law in India, England and Wales (Solicitor) and New York."
