Kaavo releases IMOD version 3.8

  • New York, NY (1888PressRelease) March 07, 2012 - Kaavo, Inc., an innovative provider of solutions for managing distributed applications in the clouds, today announced that its most recent SaaS edition of IMOD version 3.8 is live. Kaavo provides cloud management software to automate the deployment and service level management of any application, workload, or IT environment across public, private, and hybrid clouds.
    IMOD uniquely delivers an application-centric approach to cloud resource management. Version 3.8 features an upgraded user interface and new capabilities to help users easily move to the next generation of application deployment and management in the cloud. Key features include:

    • Design and Manage Page: IMOD's existing "N-tier" page has now been divided into two pages: "Design" and "Manage". On the Design page, users can select an application or IT environment template from a catalog, or create their own custom deployment using cloud and non-cloud (physical) resources. Monitoring information is now available on the Manage page.

    • Historic Monitoring Data: In addition to real-time monitoring data, users can now see the history of monitoring data for their deployments.

    • Support for OpenStack EC2 API: Added support for the OpenStack EC2 API. When registering a private cloud, users can select the type of OpenStack API supported by their OpenStack cloud provider.

    • Rackspace and AWS Load Balancer Support: Ability to add and manage Rackspage and AWS Load Balancers. This enables users to bring up entire n-tier deployment from AWS or Rackspace with a single click.

    • Support for VMware vCloud Director 1.5 API: Added support for vCloud Director Version 1.5 API. This support is currently in beta.

    • Support for AWS Virtual Private Cloud: Added support to launch and manage servers within AWS VPC environments.
