Juni Fisher is an internationally respected western and folk singer-songwriter who was voted Western Music Association's Entertainer of the Year in 2011. She was also selected as their Female Performer of the Year in 2006, 2009 and 2011. In addition, the Academy of Western Artists named her Female Performer of the Year in 2005. The National Cowboy Museum awarded Fisher with the coveted Western Heritage "Wrangler Award" in 2009 for Most Outstanding Western Album, making her the first female recipient of that award in the history of the National Cowboy Museum's awards. Fisher was originally from a farming family in Strathmore, California. Juni Fisher now lives in Franklin, Tennessee where she moved in 1991. She began singing while in elementary school, in a trio with her sisters. She started playing guitar at age seven and wrote her first song at age eight. She has the highest regard for the Western ballad, which she has described as "a pure form of American folk music". Her musical influences early on included Marty Robbins, Joan Baez and Burl Ives. She enjoys fly fishing in her spare time.
The Monterey County Sheriff's Posse Grounds (a private non-profit 501(c) 4 corporation) is under new management by Chuck and Lynn Lincoln, both retired local police officers. Lynn Lincoln's grandfather was a founding member of the Monterey County Sheriff's Posse Grounds. Both Chuck and Lynn were born in Monterey County born and raised with a love of horses and the outdoors.

Situated on a beautiful 50 acres in the foothills of the Gabilan Mountains, located 15 minutes from South Main Street in Salinas and only 30 minutes from Gilroy, the Monterey County Sheriff's Posse Grounds rents its unique woodsy 2400 square-foot Club House with wood-burning fireplace that can accommodate over 175 people. Outdoors, there are 33 picnic benches that can accommodate thousands on the surrounding two acres perfect for a wide array of special events. The beautiful and rustic Posse Grounds are a frequent site for weddings and receptions, company picnics, retreats and meetings, class reunions, Quinceaneras, Birthdays, Anniversaries, and Retirement Parties, Car & RV Shows, Christmas and New Year's Parties, concerts, barbecues, seminars, non-profit Board meetings and events, and much more. The Arena facility is available for roping, team penning, barrel races, horse shows, gymkhana, college or high school rodeos. It offers bucking and roping chutes, stock corrals, timing tower and lighting for night events. The grounds have ample parking and camping is available upon request. Supporting the Western and ranching heritage of the Salinas Valley for nearly 75 years, the Monterey County Sheriff's Posse was founded on February 28, 1939 when six Salinas men met and formed the Salinas Rodeo Riders and Sheriff's Posse of Monterey County. The Posse Grounds hosts the Big Hat BBQ and Junior Rodeo for decades. They also award annual scholarships through Hartnell College and sponsors Prunedale Boy Scout Troop 275 and Everett Alvarez FFA.
