- Newark, NJ (1888PressRelease) April 30, 2024 - Joshua Tiner, VP of Engineering at REDCOM Design & Construction, was recently quoted in USETECH’s publication. The article “Ways to Manage a Team of Technical Specialists” covered various managing strategies, motivation tips, and recommendations.
Tiner was asked to describe the differences between managing a technical team in contrast to others. He stated the main difference is that “technical teams require a leader who understands the technical discipline that they work within.” Tiner went on to explain that a leader who is aware of the challenges that the team may encounter can most effectively maintain positive morale.
Tiner also emphasized the importance of “a leader who is willing to roll up his/her sleeves and do whatever it takes alongside the team to meet challenges.”

Joshua Tiner is the VP of Engineering at REDCOM Design & Construction. Josh has worked for more than twenty years in the design, engineering, and construction industries, much of that time in an executive oversight role.
He has a wide range of technical knowledge and an astute understanding of the processes required to take a variety of project types from conception to completion. Joshua's career focus has been in both land development and the mission critical / data center industry. He maintains professional engineering licensure in most states, as well as several international jurisdictions where he practices as engineer of record as needed. Josh is also a published author of continuing education courses. He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Penn State University.
