Jonathan Thompson's Make Reading Fun Campaign
The purpose of the campaign is to get families reading together again as well as learning the art of reading and to make it fun. Thompson's children's book "Together We Stand" has been the back drop for his "in school" class tour called Story Time with Jonathan Thompson.

The purpose of the campaign is to get families reading together again as well as learning the art of reading and to make it fun. Thompson's children's book "Together We Stand" has been the back drop for his "in school" class tour called Story Time with Jonathan Thompson. Educators, Community Centers, schools, Churches and Library's can host to Mr. Jonathan's Story Time Tour. Students will learn reading techniques, comprehension exercises, vocal expression, character development and writing their own stories, and telling them... Students are not only engaged, but inspired to read, as well as having a greater self-esteem.
Jonathan Thompson, a performing arts virtuoso, teaching artist, actor, singer, musician, songwriter, poet, and author, now after thirty plus years of storytelling is releasing his first children's book, Together We Stand:
Thompson, known for his in school and after school theater workshops uses his own curriculum to teach literacy, writing, language, prose, academics, self-esteem, inspiration, motivation and life-skills. Together We Stand was birthed out one of Jonathan's after school residency's four years ago at a local elementary school in Indianapolis. First written as a play, Thompson revised the story for the book.
A fictional storyline, the book is fun and entertaining while helping children to understand how important it is not to complain about there situation, but make decisions on having a positive attitude to change their circumstances. The back drop of the story is based in forest land, with the characters learning and discovering how to work together to resolve conflict. Lead characters Girl Sally and Wonder Boy use their positive attitude to create an atmosphere for change, while Papa shares his wisdom and motivational saying's to stimulate thought and a renewed mindset.
