The Conference is dedicated to physicians and other health professionals working in neo-natal units, whose aim is to learn about the most recent updates, research, and best prac-tices in neonatal medicine.
Prof. Umberto Simeoni, from Lausanne University Hospital, will spearhead the four-day conference programme as Scientific Coordinator. Other members of the Scientific Com-mittee includes Professors Eduardo Bancalari, Virgilio Carnielli, Paolo Manzoni, Neil Mar-low, and Ola Didrik Saugstad.
Main Scientific Sessions
The most anticipated scientific programme is designed under the following key thematic areas: Delivery Room Management, Pain Management in the NICU, Infection and Neona-tal Sepsis, Neonatal Brain, Perinatal Asphyxia, Neonatal Lungs, and Nutrition of Preterm Infants.
President of the European Society for Paediatric Research (ESPR) Prof. Charles C. Roehr, and Prof. José Villar from Oxford Maternal and Perinatal Health Institute will deliver excellent keynotes on the future of neonatal research and on neonatal and infant growth and development, respectively.
Hands-on practice workshops will likewise be organised to provide participants the oppor-tunity to expand their knowledge, and improve their skills through interactive training and discussion with leading neonatology experts.
Clinical Practice Case Abstract Presentations
One of the highlights that separate the 4th Summer Discussions on Neonatology from other neonatology meetings is the possibility to present interesting case reports on a new and unique condition observed in the daily clinical practice.
This format encourages both participants and top clinical experts to analyse, debate, and share clinical opinions to raise awareness within the scientific community.
