- (1888PressRelease) November 12, 2010 - LONG ISLAND, N.Y -- John Staluppi is pleased that the National Kidney Registry has recognized the philanthropic efforts of John Pickett, Chief Operating Officer, and Michael D. Brown, Vice President of Operations, both of Atlantic Automotive Group.
"When we held our inaugural Long Island Friends of the National Kidney Registry fundraising gala last year, we had no idea of the heights it would hit, both in terms of human emotion and overall donations"
Mr. Pickett and Mr. Brown have been working diligently to spread the word about the National Kidney Registry and obtaining contributions to benefit the nonprofit organization. They will be honored at a gala sponsored by Atlantic Automotive Group, a John Staluppi dealer group.
"When we held our inaugural Long Island Friends of the National Kidney Registry fundraising gala last year, we had no idea of the heights it would hit, both in terms of human emotion and overall donations," said Jacquelyn Maher-Brucia, who is coordinating the fundraising efforts of Atlantic Automotive Group. "The generosity and support of those who attended was both humbling and exhilarating at the same time."
The support and donations all benefit the National Kidney Registry, a nonprofit organization formed to unite kidney donors with those seeking a kidney transplant in one universal registry. The National Kidney Registry also seeks to increase the number of quality donors and the speed at which a transplant is completed, from the beginning match to the final surgery.
John Staluppi and everyone at Atlantic Auto Group are hopeful this year's gala will be an even greater success than last year's. The event is scheduled from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010, at the La Grange Inn in West Islip.
